Decentralized Web

The Decentralized Web (DWeb) is: either a decentralized or distributed web. A DWeb is secure and private without relying on centralized intermediaries.

Decentralization vs. Distribution

Decentralized: In a decentralized web, services and data are spread across multiple nodes, each operating independently. There is no single point of control, which enhances resilience and reduces the risk of systemic failure.

Distributed: A distributed web architecture involves spreading data and processes across multiple locations. This distribution can still include centralized control mechanisms, but it leverages the geographical spread to improve performance and fault tolerance.

Content Distribution

Decentralized content distribution networks (CDNs) distribute content across multiple DNodes, improving load times and reducing reliance on centralized servers. This leads to better performance and resilience against DDoS attacks.

Alternative to centralized systems

DIDWeb, an initiative of DWebLogic, aims to provide a decentralized alternative to traditional centralized systems. This approach allows organizations to maintain better control over their data while ensuring more secure and private customer interactions.
